I was fascinated by an old tree stump during an ever rarer walk lately.
In isolation, the ancient cracking tree stump was a gorgeous combination of textures.
But on closer inspection, tiny, colourful, succulent plants were emerging inside the troughs of the cracks and rings of the aged wood.

Neat find! I especially like the one on the bottom – if you unfocus your eyes, it looks like a fabulous fabric pattern.
Interesting! Such pretty colors, too 🙂
Such beautiful colors and contrasts.
How lovely..

Gorgeous
Beautiful enhancements- magical !!
I love how, out of death and decay, comes bright colourful life!
Your ‘seeing’ is so lovely — I must get a macro lens of my own!! Inspired……
Absolutely stunning shots. I’ve looked at lots of ‘inside’ shots for this week’s challenge and these photos are exceptional. I think it is because you’ve captured something that would remain unnoticed, which is just beautiful. Thank you, you’ve reminded me I need to slow down today and take notice of things around me – ALWAYS a great reminder. 🙂
