I agree with “Long Life Cats and Dogs” – when I was a kid, it seemed as if they were all red with black spots. Wonder what happened? Maybe we just notice more now.

Incredible. I seem to remember them all being red when I was growing up.
There are still a few red ones around. But they are starting to find themselves competing for space – in my neighbourhood at least.
