I lived near New Orleans for a couple of years while I was in America, but it wasn’t until we went back over there for a trip a couple of years ago that my son and I actually went to the city and did the touristy thing. The best part of the day was sitting at the Cafe du Monde, eating beignets, listening to street musicians, and watching the world go by.
There was a line of horses and carriages across the street from us for the tourists, but residents of the city had their own forms of transport to complete their journeys:
