Weekly photo challenge: Sun

Of course, I am soooo tempted to put another amazing “straight at the sun” shot – but many of you have already seen two versions of this before , so I thought I’d find some other angles for this week’s challenge.

Just a couple of very tame (for me) shots of sun rays:

    These are very pretty shots!

Also wanted to say that I totally love your header image!

    • Thank you.
You’re the first person to comment on the header …. I was just thinking about changing it!

I was meaning to say it last week, but got distracted, I guess … the feather is so white and fluffy — love it!

  11. @Alice always good with Macro lens photo shot, combination with “the Sun” – perfect. Good job @Alice

  12. Beautiful shots. I didn’t realise one would get this type of effect with a macro.

    • The first two aren’t with a macro lens – just the normal little zoom lens that comes with the camera. The last one was, though.
I’m finding you can pretty much get any type of “effect” with a macro. It just depends how far away you stand from the subject! 🙂

  13. I like the one in the middle best – really awesome!

  14. Nice – the first one is exquisite – the flower pod reaching for the sun.

  15. All great photos. My favorite is the bottom one. Love the water drops, the vivid green and the rays of the sun. Nicely done.
