UnAnsel Series – Love in the Mist … Twisted

Thanks to Sharon over at newpillowbook for suggesting I start to call this series the “UnAnsel Series”. I always thought “Anti-Ansel Adams” sounded a bit harsh and inflammatory, but I couldn’t think of another way to describe this type of selective blurriness. (It really IS selective … honest!) 🙂

Anyway, the UnAnsel Series it is from now on.

I’m throwing another entry into the weekly challenge pot, too, because this Love-in-the-Mist flower, as it begins to die down, definitely shows signs of being rather twisted.

  1. UnAnsel is great! 🙂 Love these, surreal, delicate, and otherworldly.

    • They do look a bit alien, don’t they? 🙂
I really hadn’t noticed them at all, as they are only about half an inch wide, but up close, they looked pretty interesting.
(I’m sure there’s an analogy to life in there somewhere ….)
      Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  2. So lovely! 🙂

  3. Beautiful pics.

  4. Intentional blur. I like it!

  5. Early on, as a small kid, I suddenly one day realized (like a “revelation”) that anything that you look at closely begins to look “alien”. Of course we just discover aspects we never before paid attention to. I then found that repeating the same household word over and over for at least 100 times makes it become unacquainted also.
