Mother Nature gave me a little gift today – a rather perfect symbolism of the rebirth of Spring through the skeletal remains of Winter.

that photos a thought stopper.
I hope that’s a good thing!
Thank you … I think 🙂
lately i’ve been taking a lot of cherry blossom shots, and i’ve seen a lot online too. i was getting worried it was a bit of an overdone subject until i saw this. your composition is flawless, and the depth of field on the blossom itself is stunning
Thank you!
I have taken a few of those macro “blossom” shots too, But at this time of year, nature subject matter seems a little restricted. So this was a bit of a lucky find. The only time I’d ever noticed skeleton leaves before was in a packet at the craft shop!
Another lucky shot with the depth of field too. It makes the pollen/anthers look like they’re floating in 3D.
I’m almost impressed with myself on this one 🙂
Ah, yours is great too!
I spent 3 years living near the Jelly Belly factory. I toured it every time anyone visited me in California. It’s definitely worthy of a pilgrimage.
lovely composition!
Thank you very much!
